The June 7th, the overwhelming response by T&T nationals to calls for jobs with RCI-Royal Caribbean led the cruise line to add another day of registration at Port-of-Spain's National Academy for the Performing Arts.
The company is returning to NAPA on Friday, June 10, to accommodate those who could not get through.
Thousands lined up from early morning to late into the evening, hoping to register. The process was supposed to start at 9:00 a.m., as advertised, but people lined up from as early as 7:00 a.m.
The Tourism Ministry signed an MoU (memorandum of understanding) with Royal Caribbean that will see the cruise line hire a total of 2,000 Trinbagonians.
Applicants have to fill out an online application form and upload relevant documents.
Royal Caribbean outlined plans to reintroduce Trinidad & Tobago as a destination for its upcoming cruise season, commencing in November.
