With the arrival of Carnival Magic to the Manhattan Cruise Terminal on Thursday, June 16, CCL-Carnival Cruise Line is calling New York home for the first time in 2+ years.
The New York (Cape Liberty Bayonne NJ-NYC) launch means Carnival has achieved restart in all 14 of its homeports in the USA.
To commemorate the special day, Carnival Magic team members welcomed passengers onboard with a “Back to Fun” event including a ceremonial ribbon-cutting and Carnival-style fanfare.
Carnival president Christine Duffy said that with their return to New York, they now had restarted guest operations in all 14 of their U.S. homeports.
“New York has been a wonderful partner for more than two decades, and we are delighted to provide versatile vacation options from this popular market again.”
Carnival Magic is the first CCL cruise ship to homeport in New York City for 2+ years.
In what has become the trademark feature of the Carnival cruise fleet, Carnival Magic is boasting a new red, white and blue hull design that is running the entire length of the 1,004-foot ship.
Following an initial 4-day Bermuda cruise, Carnival Magic is scheduled to depart from New York City on 15 sailings with a variety of itineraries this summer & fall, such as:
