With 130 calls scheduled for 2022, Port Dover (England UK) is set to receive more liners than in any previous year. Of those, 73 are turnarounds/roundtrips and 11 are inaugurals.
According to Christian Pryce (Port's CCO), Dover welcomed 25+ individual cruise lines and with the investment made in berths, they could accommodate up to 3 ships at once.
Dover hosted both CCL-Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Pride and RCI-Royal Caribbean’s Jewel OTS on June 26. Carnival Pride had arrived in the Port for her inaugural call the previous week and it was Carnival’s first call in Dover since 2013.
Other recent inaugurals include Sea Cloud Cruises’ Sea Cloud Spirit and Lindblad’s NatGeo Explorer.
"Dover’s cruise terminal is welcoming hundreds of thousands of passengers to experience the wonders of Kent’s Heritage Coastline and our world-famous White Cliffs and helping them onward on adventures to multiple destinations around Europe, taking in the Norwegian Fjords, Spanish islands or rugged stretches of coastline on Scotland’s West Coast."
