Due to an electrical issue with one of the engines, MSC's Seaside ship will have to enter drydock (at the Fincantieri shipyard in Palermo Sicily Italy) from July 11 to July 18, 2022.
Before arriving in Genoa (Italy) last Saturday, July 2, the vessel encountered an electrical problem with one of her engines.
MSC Cruises offers passengers affected by the cancellation of their stay a postponement/re-protection on another ship.
According to a company spokesperson, while the issue had not affected the safety of guests and crew onboard or the seaworthiness of the vessel, it had significantly reduced its speed.
MSC Seaside continues her current voyage with a slightly modified itinerary until Monday, July 11, to allow passengers to disembark at their original port of embarkation and facilitate their return home.
