CLIA-Cruise Lines International Association set the dates & activities for its annual celebration of the cruise industry.
Cruise Week is due to take place this year from September 16-25. The special event will see a host of trade-friendly initiatives made available for travel advisors.
Andy Harmer (CLIA UK & Ireland's managing director) said in a statement they were very excited this year’s Cruise Week was on the horizon and were eagerly counting down to the raft of trade initiatives they would be putting in place.
"We’re encouraging all agents to stay tuned via social media and our other communications platform,”
“There is so much positivity and enthusiasm in the industry, and Cruise Week is timed perfectly to help generate even more customer interest, engagement and inquiries.”
The organization serving as the main trade group for the industry said it would give advisors a keen focus on the cruise during the week, so they could benefit from the wider PR activity being undertaken.
The "Get Onboard" theme will also extend to holidaymakers, with the Cruise Week showcasing the reasons people choose to take a cruise vacation.
CLIA will share sales tips from cruise executives to support travel agents who are looking to increase sales in addition to hosting special Cruise Week webinars. There will be exclusive cruise line deals/incentives for the trade, expected to be published in the membership area of CLIA's website.
Further details on the activities will be announced shortly.
