MS NANASHIMA (2018-built ferryboat/IMO 9832365) with 45 passengers onboard ran onto the breakwater of Port Nakajima (Nakajima island/Japan Sea) at ~12 am Tokyo time on Wednesday, September 21, while leaving the port, en route to Matsuyama (Ehime).
The 765 GT cruiseferry was refloated ~2 hours later and returned back to Nakajima.
Luckily, there was no spill, but the damages are unknown.
Judging from the track, the Japan-flagged vessel (MMSI 431010889) went out of control, for whatever reason.
The boat is operated by NAKAJIMA KISEN KK.
