Celebrity Cruises celebrated the company's return to Port Los Angeles (California USA) after an 8-year hiatus when the Celebrity Solstice ship set sail from LA on September 24.
Bound for Puerto Vallarta (Jalisco, Mexico Riviera), the milestone voyage also marked the award-winning debut of the ship in the market, as well as the first-time Celebrity has offered a full season of Mexican Riviera voyages in 15 years.
Now through to April 2023, Celebrity Solstice will sail on 5-, 7-, and 8-night cruises visiting some of Mexico’s best sun-drenched spots, such as Puerto Vallarta, located between the Pacific and the Sierra Madre mountains; the vibe of Cabo San Lucas at Baja Peninsula's tip; Mazatlan's pristine beaches; and Ensenada, popular for its authentic Mexico culinary and wine.
MS Celebrity Solstice is the first of Celebrity’s Solstice-class boats. The vessel boasts generous staterooms, including the AquaClass spa-inspired accommodations with its exclusive access to the clean cuisine at Blu Restaurant; The Retreat experience for suite passengers including 24/7 lounge private restaurant dining; The Lawn Club, an outdoor grassy area for outdoor games, taking in a movie/concert; an outdoor pool deck and adults-only indoor pool area; a wealth of distinctive restaurants with menus crafted by a Michelin-starred chef; and The Spa's extensive soothing treatment options.
Lisa Lutoff-Perlo (Celebrity's President and CEO) said that when Celebrity Solstice had been originally introduced, she had ushered in a new, innovative era of cruise ships and had introduced features and amenities few had ever dreamed would be on a cruise ship.
“With such a beautiful aesthetic, this ship of dreams, is the perfect offering for the City of Dreams and we’re excited to sail her along the magnificent Mexican coastline.”
