Following a 2-year pause of cruising activities due to the COVID crisis, on October 14 Ha Long Port (Vietnam) opened its season with Ponant.
Le Laperouse ship, carrying 100+ passengers, is staying at the port for 3 days. The tourists are enjoying Ha Long City, and its surroundings, as well as visit several attractions like Halong Bay, Hanoi City, and Trang An (Ninh Binh).
Thao Van Nguyen, Port Manager of Ha Long Cruise Port said that with the support of the Vietnam Government due to its policies, Vietnam had reopened to international travel & tourism on March 15. As Ha Long Cruise Port, they were "delighted to welcome all cruise ship tousits once again with all necessary protocols in place for health & safety.”
Ha Long Port is the first and only in Vietnam capable of welcoming the largest passenger ships in the world to Ha Long Bay situated in the heart of Ha Long City. Part of Global Ports Holding's seaport network via a management agreement, Ha Long Cruise Port predicts a double increase in calls for season 2023.
With a combination of scattered islands and emerald waters, Ha Long Bay is a UNESCO Site Heritage. Ha Long has received the National Cup of Environment as Green City – clean – beautiful.
