CCL-Carnival Cruise Line opened bookings for the inaugural season of its next new liner, Carnival Venezia (still operating as Costa Venezia), which will start sailing year-round from New York on June 15th, 2023, and is expected to showcase “Carnival Fun Italian Style.”
Carnival Venezia will offer passengers a wide range of options, with 10 different voyage durations and 22 unique itineraries featuring calls to 25 ports across 14 different countries.
After a 15-day transatlantic Carnival Journeys voyage from Barcelona (Spain) that departs on May 29, 2023, Venezia will operate on a variety of cruises from Manhattan Cruise Terminal NY, and for the summer will alternate between 4-, 5- 6-, and 8-day voyages to the Caribbean, Bermuda, and ports in Canada & New England, including Saint John and Halifax.
Beginning September 29th, 2023, the vessel will alternate between operating 8- to 12-day sailings to The Bahamas, Eastern and Southern Caribbean, visiting destinations like Saint Thomas, San Juan and Aruba, along with 4 of Carnival’s private destinations: Amber Cove Dominicana, Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay Bahamas, and Princess Cays Bahamas. In addition, Venezia’s 9-day voyages will feature PortMiami Florida as a port of call.
Highlight itineraries to choose from include:
- 9-day sailing to PortMiami and the Bahamas (October 14th, 2023)
- 10-day Eastern Caribbean sailing (January 23rd, 2024)
- 12-day Southern Caribbean Carnival Journeys sailing (November 2nd, 2024)
- 15-day Caribbean Carnival Journeys sailing (September 29th, 2023).
The 2019-built liner is due to undergo drydock refurbs prior to entering service for CCL. The refurbishment will add many of the CCL's signature venues and experiences like Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse, Piano Bar 88, Seafood Shack, Bonsai Sushi, Cloud 9 Salon & Spa, the Serenity Adult-Only Retreat, and Carnival Waterworks.
In 2024, Carnival will welcome a second ex-Costa ship as Firenze joins the fleet with homeporting in Los Angeles (Long Beach CA).
