Port Canaveral (Orlando City, Florida) recently marked the arrival of RCI-Royal Caribbean’s ship Jewel of the Seas for homeporting in 2022-2023 winter season. Jewel's deployment marks the 4th RCI vessel to be homeported at Port Canaveral.
Captain John Murray, Port CEO said they were thrilled to have Jewel OTS at Port Canaveral and very excited to welcome her as their 4th Royal Caribbean homeported ship.
“Our partners at RCI have entrusted us with some of their most valuable assets and we couldn’t be more proud.”
In keeping with tradition, Port executives presented Jewel of the Seas Captain Trond Holm with a plaque commemorating the ship’s first visit to the Port.
RCI’s Jewel OTS offers 6- and 8-night roundtrips from Port Canaveral to destinations in The Bahamas and Eastern-Western-Southern Caribbean, all including visits to Royal Caribbean’s private island CocoCay.
The 90,000 GT liner has 13 decks and 1072 passenger staterooms. Jewel OTS joins 3 other Port Canaveral-homeported fleetmates - Wonder OTS, Independence OTS, and Mariner OTS.
