Ambassador Cruise Line was forced to cancel a second voyage on MS Ambience ship due to a lifeboat issue.
The vessel remained docked in homeport Tilbury-London (England UK) on Monday, December 19th, after the 3-day "Festive Market Getaway" cruise on Sunday, December 18th, was canceled due to a fault with the onboard lifeboat station.
Ambassador Ambience will arrive in Bremerhaven (Bremen, Germany) to undergo drydock repairs after the UK company was unable to address the issues in port.
As a result, the scheduled 15-day "Christmas & New Year Canary Islands Cruise", scheduled to sail on Wednesday, December 21st, was also canceled.
A spokesperson for Ambassador said it was never an easy decision to cancel any itinerary, particularly at that time of year, and they would like to apologize to all those guests that had been due to sail with them for the cancellation and any inconvenience that might cause.
"We are communicating transfer and compensation options to our guests, and any additional concerns they might have will be dealt with by Ambassador on a case-by-case basis in the days to come."
