The ultra-luxury travel brand Silversea announced new details on the public venues aboard the upcoming ship Silver Nova.
The 728-passenger vessel will feature 10 bars and lounges, 8 restaurants, and various other public venues spread along 9 passenger decks.
Silver Nova has an asymmetrical design and horizontal layout, which heightens the sense of spaciousness and allows for better flow between spaces. The ship is expected to introduce new public areas for Silversea, mainly on decks 3, 4, and 5, as well as outside on deck 10.
The Dolce Vita lounge is Silversea’s pre- and post-dinner drinks venue which represents the heart of Silver Nova. Situated on deck 5 with a capacity for up to 120 passengers, it is open from early in the morning until late in the evening. The lounge provides an elegant setting during the day, welcoming guests for drinks and activities. By night, it transforms into a piano bar.
The 2-story Venetian Lounge spans decks 4 and 5, serving as home to the enrichment and entertainment offerings. It hosts theatrical and musical performances, lectures, seminars, and film screenings.
A new venue for Silversea, The Shelter is an evening-only bar, accommodating just 32 vacationers in a chic setting. Adjacent to Atlantide and S.A.L.T. Kitchen on deck 3, The Shelter welcomes guests for pre-dinner aperitifs/post-dinner cocktails.
The Connoisseur’s Corner offers a selection of premium cigars/liquors on deck 5 and benefits from an all-new layout with a bigger, modern interior space complete with an outdoor area and floor-to-ceiling windows.
Offering panoramic, 270-degree views from deck 10, the Observation Lounge provides a vantage point from the top of the cruise ship, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a colour palette inspired by the sea. The venue is larger than on other Silversea Cruises ships, and houses the library.
A peaceful lounge by day/a lively bar by night, deck 5 Panorama Lounge accommodates up to 190 guests. Its large windows surround the interior and give way to outdoor space that allows guests to enjoy 270-degree views from the aft of the ship. This Panorama Lounge features a new layout compared to the Muse-class ships, along with a new design and colour palette.
The S.A.L.T. Bar enjoys a premium position aboard Silver Nova in comparison with the other ships, relocated to deck 10. This evening venue features a larger bar area, a new outdoor area, and floor-to-ceiling windows. It serves regionally-inspired drinks in elegant interiors with a dark color palette and comfortable armchairs.
Also relocated to deck 10 with a brand new outdoor area, the S.A.L.T. Lab is enhanced with a fresh layout. The test kitchen enables guests to sail deeper into the region through the lens of food & drink, providing the chance to get hands-on with local ingredients under the guidance of food experts and the ship‘s S.A.L.T. Host. The lab features cooking stations and a bigger, redesigned central workstation.
The Otium Spa is to be relocated when compared to Silver Dawn, situated towards the bow on deck 5 with a more spacious interior. The space will be open throughout the day as the home of the Otium wellness program and includes an indoor swimming pool, a spa with 8 treatment rooms, a beauty salon, and a fitness center. The thermal area is larger than ever, including a sauna, steam room, and pool complete with a water fountain.
Silver Nova includes 8 signature restaurants: decks 3, 4, and 5 will accommodate the indoor restaurants: Atlantide, La Dame, La Terrazza, Kaiseki, S.A.L.T. Kitchen, and Silver Note. The Marquee on deck 10 houses the ship’s 2 outdoor dining options: the Grill and Spaccanapoli/pizzeria.
Additional public spaces include the Arts Cafe, a 3-story Atrium, a casino, a 2-story boutique, and 2 outdoor bars: the Dusk Bar and the Pool Bar.
Silver Nova is due to become the first low-emissions cruise ship in the world with advanced hybrid technology utilizing fuel cells, emitting zero local emissions while in port, which is a first for the industry.
