AIDA's flagship departed from Southampton (England UK) at 8:30 pm on Monday, January 23rd.
AIDAprima ship uses a unique system forming small air bubbles at the bottom of the liner, decreasing friction between the hull and the sea.
The vessel boasts a variety of state-of-the-art facilities. The highlight is the beach club, where passengers can dance at one of the beach parties. In addition, AIDAprima has a large activity deck, which features a mini-golf, a climbing garden, a water slide, and a lazy river.
Passengers can enjoy 12 restaurants that offer from Italian cuisine to Asian food to French delicacies. The Nightfly nightclub offers live entertainment in the evenings.
AIDAprima has 18 decks, 1643 staterooms, and max passenger capacity 3400 (plus 900 staff/crew).
The liner embarked on a short Western Europe voyage, calling at Le Havre-Paris (France), Zeebrugge (Bruges, Belgium), Rotterdam (Netherlands), and Hamburg (Germany).
AIDAprima is scheduled to arrive back in Southampton UK on January 28th.
