A 59-year-old Filipino crew went overboard from Ponant's vessel Le Lyrial, while it was docked at Port Ushuaia (Argentina).
The accident happened on February 10th, when the officers requested assistance from the rescue teams after the man fell into the water while securing the gangway as Le Lyrial completed the mooring procedure.
The man was successfully recovered by rescue swimmers from the rescue and fire protection station, Argentine maritime authority, who responded and rescued the man, who had a life jacket on.
The authorities said the man had suffered some injuries and had been ambulanced to a hospital, where he had been examined and remained under observation until recovery.
