RCI-Royal Caribbean announced that one of its huge Oasis-class ships would sail short cruises year-round beginning later in 2023.
None of the line's ships has done this since they started debuting 14 years ago.
According to the world's largest cruise brand, its 225,282 GT Allure of the Seas (the 2nd vessel in the 5-ship series) would transition from operating 7-night sailings to trips of 3 and 4 nights full time on October 30th through at least early 2025.
Until now, the liner and its 4 sisterships have spent most of their careers operating week-long roundtrips.
Allure OTS starts short breaks in October 2023 (out of Port Canaveral/Orlando) and changes homeport with Miami in July 2024.
The 3- and 4-night ex-Florida roundtrip itineraries both visit CocoCay Bahamas and the longer one additionally calls at Nassau.
Allure OTS is currently based in Galveston Texas for 7-night itineraries.
