With new waterfront facilities, such as a stunning marina expected to open soon, plans for future expansion of the terminals, and a sustainable operation that is leading the way in the cruise industry, Dover’s history dating back 400+ years has a modern twist.
There has never been a better time to witness the iconic backdrop/culture of the White Cliffs & Dover Castle alongside a fresh experience that reflects the changing world.
HAL-Holland America’s ms Rotterdam and ms Zuiderdam, Princess Cruises’ Coral Princess, Ponant’s Le Dumont D’urville, and Viking Neptune are all preparing to visit Port Dover for the first time this year.
CCL-Carnival and Saga UK continue to offer turnaround calls, and TUI is returning as a port of call.
Sonia Limbrick, Head of Cruise at the Port of Dover said the Port was "going through one of the most exciting transformations in its history with a new brand and identity; all with a focus on the future."
"We can’t wait to welcome some new, world-leading cruise lines to Dover and Kent for some inaugural calls this year, and I look forward to working with our local partners to showcase the very best of Kent to our cruise customers.”
The Port holds net zero targets, placing it at the vanguard of decarbonization within the UK ports industry. Last year, it launched the ‘Targeting Our Sustainable Future’ program, which aims to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2025. The target is 5 times faster than any other port and Dover is on track to achieve this.
