ACL-American Cruise Lines has just commenced the biggest season ever on the Mississippi.

In 2023, the company is introducing its new American Serenade, the 6th in the company’s acclaimed American Riverboat series; a new 8-day/7-night Tennessee Rivers itinerary between Nashville TN-Chattanooga TN; and a host of new shore trips with many more active/adventurous options, including opportunities like VIP access to a taping of Antiques Roadshow.

March-December 2023, ACL will operate 5 new riverboats and 11+ itineraries exploring the Mighty River and its tributaries out of Saint Paul (Minnesota) to New Orleans (Port NOLA, Louisiana).

On April 20th, American Serenade will make her Mississippi River debut sailing from Port NOLA to Memphis TN along an 8-day Christening Cruise.

The ship will be accompanied on the Mississippi River this season by sisterships American Symphony and American Melody, as well as a couple of classic paddle wheelers, American Splendor and American Heritage, both completely refitted in 2022

Beginning in June, ACL passengers will be able to explore more of the Mississippi River, cruising popular tributaries including Tennessee.

Along the ACL’s new 8-day Tennessee Rivers itinerary passengers sail between Nashville-Chattanooga, stopping in: Decatur, Florence, Savannah, Paducah, and cruising Lake Barkley/Kentucky Lake. In addition to Tennessee, the company continues to offer sailings along less-traveled Mississippi tributaries.

In addition to new ships and itineraries, American continues to operate the longest USA River cruise. The line's 22-day Complete Mississippi River cruise explores 10 states and nearly the full length of the river in a single voyage. Dates for the journey are offered on American Symphony in June, and onboard the brand-new American Serenade in August.

Also new for the Mississippi Season in 2023, American added new shore excursions and enrichment focusing on culinary opportunities onboard and on shore, as well as more active shore experiences.

American’s Mississippi River voyages continue to offer 100% private shoreside transportation, on new luxury Cruise Coaches, which follow the river boats from port to port. All sailings offer Flat-Rate Domestic Airfare, while select dates provide Complimentary Airfare.

At the end of 2023, the season will culminate with the line’s festive Holiday Cruises (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Cruises).
