Resorts World Cruises announced that its Resorts World One ship will call at Magong (Penghu Islands, Taiwan), a 90-island archipelago, every Tuesday, commencing April 11th, 2023.
This is expected to enhance the value of the 3-night/4-day cruise, which features 2 destinations as part of the itinerary for voyages departing from Kaohsiung/Hong Kong. With Penghu located off Taiwan's east coast, Resorts World One will offer vacationers a convenient alternative to visit the isles, which can only be reached by air or ferries.
Penghu is popular for its white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters, and abundant marine life, which is the perfect destination for fishing, snorkeling, and island-hopping boat tours. Passengers can explore the historic Magong city, renowned for its rich heritage and natural scenery. Shore trips can be made to the island of Baisha, famous for the Baoan Temple, where the 200-year-old Banyan Tree covers 660 m2 of land and beaches like Shili and Sanshui.
Penghu's inclusion is expected to have a great appeal to both domestic/international travelers. For tourists departing from Kaohsiung, the 3-night/4-day cruise departs on Mondays, visiting Penghu on Tuesdays/Hong Kong on Wednesdays prior to returning to Kaohsiung on Thursdays. Fares start from NT$6,900 (US$226) per guest based on double occupancy. In addition, the 3rd and 4th guests pay NT$3,500 (US$115) each.
An “Early Bird” promo is available for bookings made before the end of March 2023. This includes a discount of NT$1,000 (US$33) for each of the twin-sharing guests and NT$500 (US$16) off for each of the 3rd and 4th guests, subject to terms/conditions. Kaohsiung guests can choose to depart on Thursdays/debark in Hong Kong on Fridays for a 2-night land stay option, prior to re-joining the vessel on Sundays and returning to Kaohsiung by Mondays.
For passengers choosing to depart from Hong Kong on a 3-night/4-day cruise, Resorts World One is due to depart on Sundays, arriving in Kaohsiung on Mondays and visiting Penghu on Tuesdays prior to returning to HK on Wednesdays.
