MSC Cruises announced they are continuing to expand their new entertainment offerings with Guinness World Records, the officials for record-breaking titles worldwide.
The new program is an opportunity for passengers to test their mettle and, in case they are lucky, get their name in the record books. Activities include live shows, inviting vacationers to attempt to break Guinness World Records and create unforgettable memories.
The new partnership is part of MSC's broader strategy to further elevate its shipboard entertainment programs for guests. While at sea, guests can participate in the activities during the day and audition for the grand evening show. The lucky finalists can demonstrate talents and aim to become the next record holder.
Steve Leatham (MSC's Global Head of Entertainment) said they were delighted to join forces with Guinness World Records.
"We’re always on the hunt for new and engaging concepts for our guests. This partnership provides unique and enriching entertainment at the highest level, and we look forward to continuing to offer a dynamic range of exciting experiences for guests of all ages.”
According to Marco Frigatti, SVP Consultancy at Guinness World Records, there was "no better way to bring the magic of Guinness World Records to life than to host a live show like this."
Guinness World Records activities are currently available on the MSC liners World Europa and Seascape, as well as on Euribia (slated for inauguration in June 2023).
Some of the Guinness World Records highlights feature:
The Records Show: an onboard version of the Guinness World Records TV show consists of a live stage show, featuring record-breaking activities from individual guests, audience participation, and even the ship’s crew members.
Onboard, there are expected to be various action-packed, Children’s Programs, including quizzes, entertaining challenges, and educational shows, providing endless engaging entertainment for both kids and teens.
The program Guinness World Records Facts invites cruisers for a trivia challenge to test their knowledge of Guinness World Records.
Guinness World Records Family Quiz is due to include a record-breaking quiz, using Guinness World Records video races and live challenges to see if audiences can select the winner.
Any new record breakers are to be verified by a GWR Official Adjudicator and also awarded a Guinness World Records certificate, giving passengers ultimate bragging rights along with incredible memories to look back on.
