Silversea's ship Silver Endeavour will emerge from the upcoming refurbishment with 10 new passenger staterooms in 2 new Suite categories.
Roberto Bruzzone (Silversea's senior VP of marine operations) said that Silver Endeavour's refurbishment would strengthen her status as the most luxurious expedition ship in the world.
"With our guests' cruise experience in mind, we are broadening her range of accommodation options by introducing two new suite categories, enriching a selection of public venues, and creating space for addition [sic] crew members to maintain one of the industry's highest crew-to-guest ratios."
Replacing the helicopter hangar amidships, Silversea will install 2 Master Suites and 4 Signature Suites. Starboard side on Deck 5, 4 Classic Veranda Suites are due to replace the Medical Center, which will relocate to the spot currently occupied by the casino (Deck 4).
The 2 new Master Suites towards the ship's aft, are expected to provide uninterrupted 270-degree views from the 312-square-foot (29 m2) balconies and vast living areas. The 1,163-square-foot (108 m2) suites feature expansive living/dining areas, a bedroom with king-sized/twin beds, a walk-in closet, a roomy bathroom with a walk-in shower/separate whirlpool bath. The living room has a convertible sofa to accommodate a 3rd guest.
4 new signature suites, ranging between 721-850 square feet (67-79 m2), will offer an open living room, a dining area, an expansive bedroom with king-sized/twin beds, a walk-in closet, floor-to-ceiling windows, and adjoining bathroom complete with a walk-in shower/whirlpool bath. The living room has a convertible sofa to accommodate a 3rd guest, and floor-to-ceiling glass doors. Balconies range between 167-269 square feet (15.5-25 m2).
4 Classic Veranda Suites will be installed on the starboard side on Deck 4, featuring the traditional layout and amenities of the existing veranda suites onboard Silver Endeavour. Each of the 356-square-foot (34 m2) suites will boast a 52-square-foot (4.8 m2) balcony.
The removal of the casino on Deck 4 will create space for 4 new crew cabins, which will host 7 additional crew. As well as bolstering the hotel team of the ship, the extra cabins will enable the company to enlarge the expedition team aboard Silver Endeavour to 22.
The vessel will enter drydock at San Giorgio del Porto Shipyard in Genoa Italy) on April 3rd, 2023.
Following the drydocking, Endeavour will undertake 2 voyages in the British Isles and Iceland, prior to embarking on her inaugural Arctic season in June 2023.
