AIDA Cruises' ship AIDAstella completed her scheduled dry dock maintenance at Chantiers Naval de Marseille shipyard (southern France).
The refurbishment carried out aboard AIDAstella included routine maintenance/exterior renovation like removing marine growth from the hull of the 10-year-old ship. The yard also installed new antennas needed for Starlink Internet connection.
After contractors disembarked from AIDAstella, the dry dock was flooded, and the liner was ready to restart regular cruises.
The ship is due to arrive at the departure port of Palma de Mallorca (Majorca Island, Balearic Spain) on Monday evening, March 20th, for her upcoming short trip through the western Mediterranean to Marseille (France) and Barcelona (Spain) from Palma, which begins on Tuesday, March 21st.
AIDAstella is the youngest of the popular Sphinx class and celebrated her 10th birthday on March 16th.
She has mainly operated in the Mediterranean and is scheduled to operate on 4 different 10- and 11-day voyages through the western Mediterranean during the upcoming summer season.
