The P&O UK's ship Ventura rescued 3 people stranded on a sailing yacht on Monday, March 20th, off Mexico.
The sailors made a call to the USCG requesting assistance after the vessel had lost steering ability in the Gulf of Mexico.
On Monday, as the liner was sailing towards New Orleans (Louisiana USA), they had a distress call from a yacht that had 3 people in it, 1 man and 2 women. Ventura had crossed the boat before, but later they got the call and had to turn the ship back to rescue them.
The rescue was completed successfully, and all 3 are now safe as Ventura resumed her scheduled route to Port NOLA.
P&O Ventura left the port of Southampton (England UK) on March 2nd and is sailing a 35-night roundtrip "USA and Caribbean" Transatlantic voyage.
