Windstar Cruises added a new Formula 1 experience for its passengers, this time at the final race of the season at Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2023 in November.
The F1 racing trip is in addition to Windstar’s themed F1 voyage to the Monaco Grand Prix, with the 2023 Rome & Prix du Monde of Monaco scheduled for May 21-28 onboard Windstar’s flagship Wind Surf.
Offered by no other cruise company, the Windstar shore excursion to Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2023 is offered as part of the line’s first-ever sailings in the Middle East onboard the all-suite Star Legend.
During an overnight in Abu Dhabi UAE amidst the inaugural 10-day Sparkling Sands & Cities of the Persian Gulf cruise departing Dubai (Port Rashid) on November 23rd, guests have the option to experience the race of the F1 season on November 25-26th with onboard perks like an exclusive cocktail party, transfers to/from Yas Marina Circuit, premium grandstand seats for the time trials and the race, and English-speaking coordinators. Guests will be joined by F1 Sports Broadcaster Bob Varsha, who is expected to provide insights/expert analysis of the race.
Pricing for the trip is US$1600 while rates for the voyage start from US$3000 per person.
Cruising to Monaco Grand Prix has its origins back in the 1990s as Windstar Cruises' first themed voyage and one of the industry’s first themed sailings. Windstar’s guests on the Rome & Prix du Monde of Monaco itinerary receive race tickets, and Section K seats for the time trials and final.
The entire voyage is hosted by a Formula 1 racing expert providing behind-the-scenes insight. There is also a themed cocktail reception/dinner onboard, plus extras like comfy seat cushions, high-definition binoculars, and ear protection.
Cruise fares start from US$7700 per person, including Grand Prix programming.
