Princess Cruises announced a new partnership with Caymus Vineyards, a renowned Napa Valley winery.
Starting this month, guests on Princess ships sailing North American itineraries will have the opportunity to indulge in an exclusive Caymus Vineyards Winemaker Dinner. The dinner will take place in the Crown Grill, Princess Cruises' specialty restaurant, and will feature a five-course menu perfectly crafted to complement the tasting notes of Caymus Vineyards' wines.
Chuck Wagner, owner, and winemaker of Caymus Vineyards, will personally curate the wine pairings for each course. This immersive dining experience is priced at $140 per person and will be available to only 12 guests per seating, offered 2-3 times per cruise.
Princess Cruises Vice President of Food and Beverage, Sami Kohen, stated:
"Our passionate culinary team and Chuck have curated what promises to deliver a deliciously memorable and tantalizing experience that will have our guests talking long after the last course and glass of wine are served."
In addition to the Winemaker Dinner, Caymus Vineyards is also working with Princess Cruises to refresh the wine menu at the Crown Grill. The brand also plans to offer guests exclusive shore excursions to its wineries in Rutherford, Napa Valley, and Suisun Valley, Calif., later this year.
The menu for the Winemaker Dinner is exquisite, featuring delicious dishes such as fresh summer black truffle risotto, tournedos Rossini, and seared king salmon and giant prawn. Each course is paired with one of Caymus Vineyards' award-winning wines, including their Mer Soleil Reserve Chardonnay, Caymus Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, and Sea Sun Pinot Noir.
Chuck Wagner expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating they were thrilled to pour their wines and share their passion "through a specially curated dinner with this beloved cruise line."
This new partnership between Princess Cruises and Caymus Vineyards is sure to be a hit with foodies and wine lovers alike.
