On March 31st, the German cruisetour company Phoenix Reisen christened its newest riverboat - MS Alisa.
The naming ceremony took place on the Rhine River's banks in Bonn (Germany). Like her sisterships Alena, Andrea, Antonia, Asara, and Adora, Alisa is chartered by Phoenix Reisen from the shipowner Rijfers Nautical Management BV (a Dutch shipping company).
The 135-m-long Alisa provides accommodations for up to 190 passengers. There are 96 staterooms on 3 decks), with all cabins on decks 2-3 being French Balcony. There are also two restaurants and a spacious sundeck with a small pool.
After the christening, Benjamin Krumpen (Phoenix Reisen's Managing Director) said they were very pleased that Katharina Lisa Wust, as a private friend, had taken on the sponsorship for their Alisa with her middle name.
Wust wished the ship, her crew and guests good wishes.
MS Alisa received the Christian baptismal blessing from Pastor Raimund Blanke.
The first guests are now sailing on the maiden voyage towards Koblenz. The vessel will spend the 2023 season on the Rhine and Moselle rivers with 4- and 7-day itineraries.
In November 2023, there will be event trips with Captain Morten Hansen, among others from the ARD documentary series "Crazy for the Sea".
