RSSC-Regent Seven Seas Cruises unveiled its new special-interest itineraries aboard its flagship Seven Seas Explorer, which is deployed in Alaska in the summer of 2023.
Regent is celebrating the ship's inaugural Alaskan season by offering unique and immersive culinary experiences through its "Epicurean Perfection" program, both onboard and ashore. RSSC's three carefully curated ‘Epicurean Explorer Tours’ and three ‘Culinary Arts Kitchen’ classes offer foodies a fresh and authentic taste of the Pacific Northwest's indigenous and contemporary cuisine.
Each enhanced voyage features culinary arts experts who will conduct demonstrations, seminars, and hands-on classes and participate in local tours. The ‘Epicurean Explorer Tours’ include excursions to a family-owned, sustainable oyster and kelp farm in Ketchikan, a sustainable wild Alaska salmon hatchery followed by a seafood-centric lunch in Sitka, and a scenic tour in Juneau that includes a local seafood lunch paired with artisan-crafted beers.
Onboard, guests can participate in a brand-new ‘Taste the Northwest Kitchen’ class featuring local dishes from Seattle WA and Vancouver BC, and attend a series of ‘Find Another Fish’ seminars that educate guests on how to select more sustainable seafood options and engage in new ‘Master Chef Junior’ classes and competitions for aspiring young chefs (6 to 16 years old).
RSSC's Seven Seas Explorer will offer 15 seven-night sailings between Seward, Alaska and Vancouver, BC Canada from June through September 2023.
Families can take advantage of the ‘Kids Sail Free’ promotion for children between the ages of two and 17 years on six select Alaska voyages, while the 'Luxury in Alaska' promotion provides guests who book by April 29, 2023, with savings of up to 20% on a dozen select Seven Seas Explorer sailings.
