Scenic Eclipse II, built by 3. Maj. Shipyard in Rijeka (Croatia), has been delivered and arrived in Lisbon (Portugal) for the inaugural voyage.
The ship's maiden voyage (11-day from Lisbon to Barcelona Spain) started on Thursday, April 13th.
The superyacht's official naming ceremony is planned to be held in Port Malaga (Spain) on June 3rd.
Scenic Eclipse 2's construction started in May 2020 and was officially completed on April 6th, 2023. Scenic Eclipse 2 is same-designed as the 2019-built Scenic Eclipse. With max capacity 228 passengers, Eclipse II boasts several new or expanded venues, including a larger steam room, experience showers, a salt-therapy lounge, and a bar with indoor and outdoor seating.
One of the highlights of the new ship is the "Chef's Garden @ Epicure" - a new dining experience and presentation area that can accommodate up to 14 standing or 7 seated guests. Guests can also participate in culinary classes in this space, such as chocolate-making and whiskey-tasting courses.
With Scenic Eclipse II's launch, in 2023 the shipowner Scenic Group doubles its ocean cruising capacity. Scenic Group, which also owns the subsidiaries Emerald Cruises and Scenic Luxury Cruises and Tours, is set to debut the Emerald Sakara superyacht later this year.
