In October 2024, Princess Cruises will introduce its newest ship - Sun Princess, in the USA.
This ship is the largest in the Sphere class and will be offering 7- and 14-day itineraries out of Port Everglades/Fort Lauderdale (Florida) to Caribbean destinations.
The ship will first launch in February 2024 and provide Mediterranean and Europe cruises before heading to Port Everglades for the winter season.
Guests on the Sun Princess will have the opportunity to enjoy both the stunning Caribbean islands and relaxing days at sea. Onboard, there will be plenty of entertainment options in state-of-the-art venues, ample areas for relaxation with beautiful views, and the largest casino in Princess Cruises' history.
Highlights of Sun Princess Caribbean season, on sale April 19th, 2023, feature:
- 5-day Caribbean Getaway commences the Caribbean season with calls at Amber Cove/Grand Turk
- 7-day Eastern Caribbean with St. Thomas includes a late night in San Juan and a visit to the line's private island resort Princess Cays
- 7-day Eastern Caribbean with Bahamas visits Amber Cove, Grand Turk, and Princess Cays
- 7-day Western Caribbean with Mexico includes stops in Belize City, Cozumel, and Roatan
- Guests can combine the 7-day Eastern Caribbean & Western Caribbean for the 14-day Caribbean East/West Adventurer.
Sun Princess, which is currently being constructed at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy, will be a large ship weighing 175,500 tons and accommodating up to 4,300 guests. She will offer a variety of new dining options, entertainment, and activities, as well as luxurious staterooms and suites in various categories. With the most balconies of any Princess ship, guests will be able to enjoy the Caribbean's sunny weather and crystal-clear waters from the comfort of their cabin. The three-story Horizons Dining Room and The Dome, a relaxation venue inspired by the terraces of Santorini, will also be available to guests.
Furthermore, Sun Princess will feature the exclusive Princess Medallion technology, which offers personalized experiences typically found on smaller ships, along with the amenities of larger ships. The ship's inaugural Mediterranean and Europe cruises in 2024 are already on sale, while Caribbean voyages will become available for purchase starting April 19th, 2023.
