Emerald Cruises' new superyacht Emerald Sakara is almost ready for the upcoming sea trials.
The interior works are also on schedule to be finished before the first guests arrive for the maiden voyage (8-day "Ionian Sea Adventure" itinerary) from Civitavecchia-Rome to Piraeus-Athens, departing on August 5th.
The ultra-luxury yacht, which was custom-built by Vietnamese shipbuilder The Halong Shipbuilding Company (Halong City), is the second in the Emerald's yacht fleet and has max capacity 100 passengers (plus 64 crew), 7 decks and 50 staterooms, of which 88% are with a step-out balcony or terrace (excluding only Deck 3's 6x Oceanview cabins).
Like the identical sistership Emerald Azzurra (launched in March 2022), Emerald Sakara will be operated with all-inclusive deals.
After Sakara’s August 2023 debut, she will embark on an inaugural season in the Mediterranean, exploring the coastal waters of the Aegean Sea (Greece, Turkey) and the Adriatic Sea.
In winter 2023-34, Emerald Sakara will be deployed in Central America and the Caribbean.
The first “Eastern Caribbean and Grenadines” voyage is scheduled to depart on November 17th, 2023. The yacht will be officially christened on December 2nd in San Juan, Puerto Rico by godmother Kelly Craighead (CLIA's President and CEO).
