A female crew onboard the Oceania Marina ship has been medically evacuated in Greece due to an urgent medical condition.
Ship officers have requested a medevac from the Port Authority of Thira while the liner was anchored in Fira Bay (Thira, Santorini Island) on Wednesday, May 3rd.
The crew was safely transported by sea to Port Piraeus from where she was ambulanced to a clinic in Athens.
At the time of the accident, Oceania Cruises-operated Marina was sailing on a 7-day voyage from Civitavecchia-Rome (Italy) to Piraeus-Athens.
No further details on the identity/nature of the crew's injury have been provided so far.
