Ahead of the upcoming Grand Prix in Miami (Florida USA) over the weekend, Formula 1/F1 announced the renewal of its Global Partnership with MSC Cruises, one of the fastest-growing and largest cruise brands in the world.
The agreement will extend until the end of the 2026 season, and both companies aim to build on their successful collaboration by creating an extended program of activity. As part of this collaboration, MSC Cruises will bring its ships to select Grand Prix weekends, providing fans with a unique hospitality experience from the race track to the ship.
As a Title Race Partner for the "2023 Formula 1 MSC Cruises Belgian Grand Prix", MSC will also host an engaging fan zone activation across the race weekend. The first package for this will be launched in Abu Dhabi, featuring MSC Virtuosa ship for the final round of F1's 2023 season.
Furthermore, F1 and MSC are both committed to becoming sustainable and achieving Net Zero targets. They will continue to work together towards this shared goal, with Formula 1 targeting Net Zero by 2030 and MSC Cruises by 2050.
Stefano Domenicali (F1's President & CEO) said they were excited to extend their partnership with MSC Cruises, as both their brands shared a commitment to innovation and excellence.
"This collaboration has brought exceptional results, and we look forward to enhancing our relationship further. Together, we'll continue pushing boundaries and setting new benchmarks in sports and hospitality.”
Pierfrancesco Vago (MSC's Executive Chairman) said Formula 1 and MSC were great partners on many levels.
"We are both global leaders in our respective fields and our successes are founded in teamwork. Not only this, but we are both driving towards sustainable change.
“We want to build the future of our industries and leave a lasting legacy for generations to come. We are both working at the forefront of our industries and helping to make a real difference, and this is why we are committed to this special partnership for the long term and have signed an extension in our sponsorship as Global Partner.”
