Regent Seven Seas Cruises announced that the steakhouse, Prime 7, aboard its upcoming ship Seven Seas Grandeur, launching in November 2023, has been inspired by classic New York steakhouse design.
The restaurant, created by Studio DADO, is a contemporary dining experience, paying homage to the traditional New York steakhouse from the early 20th century while adding modern design elements that will appeal to Regent's cosmopolitan guests. Prime 7 features an entrance adorned with a wall of antique travel cases and black-and-white photography. The restaurant's various spaces provide a journey-like experience for diners, with a vestibule that resembles a streetcar and a residential-style area with Persian carpets and memorabilia in vitrines.
The restaurant's menu caters to the refined tastes of Regent's guests and features popular dishes like jumbo lump crab cakes, Black Angus Beef steak tartare, and succulent jumbo shrimp. Prime 7 also offers a selection of steaks that are USDA prime beef and dry-aged for 28 days to ensure optimum taste and tenderness. Diners can choose from various options, including prime New York strip, porterhouse, and filet mignon, as well as alternative entree options such as whole Maine lobster, Dover sole, and New Zealand double-cut lamb chops. Prime 7 also offers a range of small plates, including spice-crusted seared ahi tuna steak and grilled chicken supreme. Dessert options include a 14-layer chocolate mousse cake, caramel chocolate sundae, cheese plates, and fresh seasonal berries with creme anglaise.
