The name of Princess Cruises' second Sphere Class cruise ship, Star Princess, has been revealed.
She will embark on her inaugural season of Mediterranean voyages in August 2025.
Currently being constructed at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy, Star Princess will be the largest ship ever built for the Princess fleet, carrying 4300 guests (2162 staterooms) and with a volume of 175500 GT-tons.
The ship will have new and groundbreaking spaces such as The Dome and a glass sphere in the Piazza, as well as an advanced theater and a dining room with stunning views. Star Princess will offer exciting new food and beverage concepts, expanded accommodations, and a two-story Lotus Spa, among other features.
The ship will be LNG-powered and built with advanced sustainable innovations.
Star Princess will go on sale on June 1st, 2023, with a variety of 9- and 10-day cruises sailing from Civitavecchia-Rome (Italy), Piraeus-Athens (Greece), or Trieste-Venice (Italy) that visit idyllic coastal ports.
The 20-deck ship is the second to be named "Star Princess" and will showcase the exclusive Princess Medallion service.
