Silversea Cruises provided details about its upcoming World Cruise 2026 titled "The Curious and the Sea" which promises to be the most comprehensive and immersive voyage in the cruise line's history. This cruise will expand the already extensive collection of extended sailings in the realm of ultra-luxury cruising.
Commencing on January 6th, 2026, guests will board Silver Dawn in Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades, Florida) for a 140-day long journey that will take them to 70 destinations across 37 countries, marking the highest number ever visited on a Silversea World Cruise. The itinerary includes 26 calls that have either never been part of a Silversea World Cruise before or haven't been visited since 2020, along with 9 overnight stays. A pre-sale exclusively for Venetian Society members will open on June 14th, followed by general sales on June 22nd.
'The Curious and the Sea' aims to connect travelers with the rich heritage of navigation, drawing inspiration from the curiosity that once drove ancient seafarers to explore unknown territories. Throughout the voyage, guests will have the opportunity to participate in tailored events on land, engage in onboard activities, indulge in regionally influenced culinary experiences, and choose from three optional overland tours in Uzbekistan, Safaga/Luxor (Egypt), and the Balkans. These experiences will enhance the journey, capturing the spirit of exploration that has propelled humankind throughout history. The cruise will follow ancient trade routes, traversing the waters that linked the Silk Road, and navigating the Panama and Suez canals. It will also grant travelers access to remote islands in the South Pacific, reminiscent of those explored by Captain James Cook in the 18th century, and allow them to visit destinations that have played a pivotal role in scientific advancements, such as Western Australia, which attracted Charles Darwin in 1836.
To ensure an exceptional travel experience, guests embarking on the world cruise will receive a curated package that includes private executive transfers, Business class air travel, and a dedicated meet and greet service.
The journey commences on January 6th, 2026, from Fort Lauderdale FL, sailing through Central America and transiting the Panama Canal to South America. The itinerary continues to Easter Island, French Polynesia, and the South Pacific, leading guests to New Zealand for a semi-circumnavigation of Australia (Phillip Island, Port Lincoln/Coffin Bay NP, Esperance WA, Melbourne, Adelaide, Exmouth/Ningaloo Reef, Kimberley Coast).
From Australia, travelers will explore Southeast Asia, cross the Bay of Bengal to visit Sri Lanka and India, traverse the Red Sea, and pass through the Suez Canal to reach Europe/Mediterranean.
The final leg of the voyage takes guests on a captivating exploration of European history and culture before concluding in Lisbon, Portugal, on May 27th, 2026.
