Luftner's Amadeus River Cruises announced plans for a new generation of riverboats, starting with MS Amadeus Nova in spring 2024. This innovative ship aims to set new standards for environmental protection on rivers while offering luxurious facilities and modern design.

Amadeus Nova will feature a hybrid diesel-electric drive and a powerful battery system, ensuring optimal engine power. The riverboat will be equipped with the latest generation engines that significantly reduce emissions and virtually eliminate pollutants through advanced filters and catalysts developed in-house.

In addition, the ship will utilize solar panels to generate electric energy, and innovative heat recovery systems will make the most of the heat produced in the electric engine room and public areas. Highly insulated glass will minimize heat loss during winter and heat penetration during summer. The use of autonomous control and positioning systems, along with a semi-autonomous cruising option, will enhance safety and fuel efficiency.

Amadeus Nova will have 4 decks and 79 staterooms (including 12 suites with step-out balconies and 51 cabins with French balconies), elegant wind-protected sundeck lounge, an open Cafe Vienna, and spa and fitness facilities. The sundeck's heated pool will provide passengers with a truly exclusive 5-star travel experience.

The boat's design will resemble that of Amadeus Riva and Amadeus Cara, which have received high customer satisfaction as part of Luftner's young fleet.

Starting in 2024, Amadeus Nova will navigate the Rhine and Danube rivers, known for their impressive and historically significant sights, offering an exceptional experience to international travelers.

Most of Amadeus Nova's itineraries depart from Passau Germany and Amsterdam Holland.

Danube voyages depart from Passau, but also are offered departures from Nurnberg/Nuremberg GermanyWien/Vienna AustriaBudapest HungaryFetesti/Bucharest Romania.

Rhine River voyages depart from Cologne/Koln and Kehl/Strasbourg.
