Carnival Venezia, the newest addition to CCL-Carnival Cruise Line's fleet, arrived at her homeport in New York City for the first time Tuesday morning, June 13th. The ship's passengers had just completed a 15-day transatlantic voyage that originated in Barcelona Spain.
To celebrate the ship's arrival, Carnival will host a welcome ceremony onboard on Wednesday evening, and the renowned comedian and television host Jay Leno will be named the first godfather of a Carnival ship. On Thursday, Carnival Venezia will depart from the Manhattan Cruise Terminal for the first time, taking guests on a 4-day cruise to Bermuda.
Carnival Venezia introduces the concept of "Carnival Fun Italian Style" and brings forth several new elements, including restaurants, bars, and entertainment programs. These additions enhance the ship's overall theme, which draws inspiration from the city of Venice, Italy.
As the 25th ship in the fleet, Carnival Venezia offers a wide array of options for guests sailing from New York. It presents 10 different cruise durations and 22 unique itineraries that include visits to 25 ports across 14 countries.
