Celebrity Cruises has announced that it will soon offer voyages visiting CocoCay Bahamas. RCI-Royal Caribbean's highly successful private resort island CocoCay underwent a $250 million renovation in 2019, receiving excellent guest satisfaction ratings. Celebrity, as a sister brand to RCI (both being fully owned by RCG-Royal Caribbean Group) aims to provide its tourists with the same unique experience.
Starting in April 2024, Celebrity Reflection will operate weekend getaways to The Bahamas leaving roundtrip from Port Everglades/Fort Lauderdale (Florida USA) on 3-night (Friday departures) and 4-night (Monday departures) visit Key West Florida, CocoCay, and the Bahamian destinations Nassau and Resort World Bimini.
The year-round homeported in Fort Lauderdale Celebrity Beyond visits CocoCay with 6- and 8-night itineraries previously operated by Celebrity Reflection. Passengers who had booked Celebrity Reflection's 6-night and 8-night sailings will be automatically moved to Celebrity Beyond at a protected rate.
Celebrity Beyond will offer a variety of six and eight-night cruises to destinations such as Grand Cayman, The Bahamas, Mexico, and the Dutch ABC islands (Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao). Passengers originally booked on Beyond's European voyages will have the option to transfer to another European itinerary.
This marks the first time a non-RCI ship will visit Perfect Day at CocoCay since the island was relaunched as Perfect Day at CocoCay. Celebrity Cruises aims to provide its passengers with the opportunity to experience this renowned private destination.
