Leading interior outfitter Trimline recently finished the conversions of jazz clubs into smoke-free casinos on three RCI-Royal Caribbean ships (among the world's top-5 largest) - Harmony of the Seas, Oasis of the Seas, and Allure of the Seas.
The transformation process took place simultaneously on the ships while they were in service around the USA. Each vessel required approximately two weeks to complete the conversion. Trimline assembled a team of demolition and removal experts, joiners, electricians, decorators, and laborers who collaborated closely with data, IT, and casino commissioning specialists. Their objective was to ensure the efficient completion of the project with minimal disruptions to guests and crew members. Safety and customer satisfaction were prioritized, and the team handled materials carefully, adjusting work schedules to accommodate passenger and crew movements.
Despite the challenges, Trimline's highly skilled tradespeople successfully utilized their expertise to deliver a top-notch transformation on all three ships. The project's success can be attributed not only to meticulous pre-planning and the team's commitment but also to Trimline's proprietary TAPP software. This software allowed Trimline and the client to monitor progress in real-time, ensuring the timely completion of the work within the established budget. Royal Caribbean was particularly impressed with the progress monitoring feature, which provided them with a clear and accurate overview of the project's status at all times.
Billy Morton, the Trimline Project Manager, expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration, stating that working with Royal Caribbean on the conversions had been an absolute pleasure. Their team had worked tirelessly to deliver work of the highest standards, and they were thrilled with the results. They were confident that those new smoke-free casinos would provide an enjoyable experience for the guests on board.
