In June 2022, Aqua Expeditions' superyacht Aqua Mare embarked on her first-ever journey through the Galapagos Islands, and it was a memorable experience.
Once on board, the experience is equally remarkable. Aqua Mare provides a unique and carefully curated voyage, with a maximum capacity of 16 passengers and a crew-to-guest ratio of 1:1. The ship is adorned with luxurious features, such as a jacuzzi, beach club, and a panoramic lounge that offers breathtaking views of the Galapagos archipelago's volcanic landscapes.
The culinary offerings are overseen by renowned chef Pedro Miguel Schiaffino, whose two restaurants have been recognized on the World's 50 Best list. Chef Schiaffino draws inspiration from the dramatic landscapes of the Galapagos Islands and the Peruvian Nikkei culinary style, resulting in a fusion of delectable dishes that unveil the region's most delightful culinary secrets.
Aqua Mare (IMO 1005942) is Ecuador-flagged (MMSI 735060248) and is available year-round for both individual travelers and charter bookings.
Aqua Expeditions said that a year on, with almost 50 sailings under her belt, they had the pleasure of showing hundreds of guests the wonders of that remote destination.
“Where else would you find wild animals – from penguins to giant tortoises – thoroughly unbothered by human presence? These amazing creatures roam freely across the archipelago, without fear of any predatory threats. As you venture from island to island on skiff excursions, you’re welcomed by the endemic species that call this region home. There are opportunities to snorkel with sea lions, sunbathe next to marine iguanas, dance with blue-footed boobies – and that’s all before lunch.”
