ACL-American Cruise Lines has recently announced the commencement of their summer season by introducing new 8-day Tennessee River Cruises. These cruises will take place between Nashville and Chattanooga in Tennessee.
During this fresh itinerary, passengers will have the opportunity to explore delightful towns scattered across the Tennessee Valley, following the meandering path of the river into the Appalachian Mountains. The new cruises will make stops in Decatur, AL; Florence, AL; Savannah, TN; Paducah, KY, and will also sail the Cumberland River, allowing guests to discover Lake Barkley and the Land Between the Lakes.
Embarking on a Tennessee River cruise with ACL promises an authentic American river cruise experience, as guests explore the cultural and historical sites of the region. The itinerary offers a variety of excursions, including visits to notable destinations such as Shiloh National Military Park in Savannah, TN, the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL, and the National Quilt Museum in Paducah, KY. Active outdoor excursions, such as an ATV Backcountry Excursion in Chattanooga or a round of golf at the beautiful Robert Trent Jones golf course in "The Shoals," are also available.
Additionally, guests will have the opportunity to explore the musical heritage of the Tennessee Valley, with visits to museums dedicated to music legends like Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline.
ACL is offering complimentary pre-cruise hotel stays in both departure cities, Nashville and Chattanooga. They also provide a special 2-night Grand Ole Opry Pre-Cruise Package in Nashville, which includes a stay at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center, tickets to a Grand Ole Opry show, a Nashville City Exploration, breakfast each morning, and assistance with luggage and transportation to the ship on the day of embarkation.
These Tennessee River cruises will be available from June to August 2023, utilizing three of ACL's five Mississippi-deployed boats, including the newly christened American Serenade. The company plans to operate the 8-day Tennessee River Cruises again in 2024, extending the season from May to early November.
