Dover Cruise has bid farewell to Hurtigruten's ship MS Maud for the time being until 2024, marking the end of a remarkable series of expeditions between the renowned White Cliffs and Norwegian Fjords during the winter season of 2022-2023.
Hurtigruten initiated winter expeditions from the UK with MS Maud for the first time at the end of 2021, designating Dover as its UK homeport and a new destination for year-round operations.
Sonia Limbrick (Port Dover's Head of Cruise) expressed her gratitude for the exceptional partnership and shared aspirations with Hurtigruten, eagerly anticipating their return in the near future.
With its proximity to the beautiful Garden of England and rich heritage, Dover Cruise plays a central role in British Isles adventures, fostering connections among communities worldwide, whether they hail from remote Arctic regions or the enchanting Caribbean islands.
Nathaniel Sherborne, the Sales & Marketing VP at Hurtigruten Expeditions, extended gratitude to Sonia and the Port of Dover team for their tremendous support since the inaugural MS Maud voyage in late 2021. They eagerly anticipate their comeback in April 2024, bringing more guests on incredible expeditions throughout the British Isles and Southern Scandinavia.
MS Maud will make a comeback to Dover in the spring of the following year for additional turnaround calls as part of the 2024 expeditions season.
