Crews are assessing the damage to a Princess Cruises ship in San Francisco CA after the liner struck the dock upon arrival Thursday morning, July 6th.
Princess confirmed in a statement that its Ruby Princess ship had "made unexpected contact with the dock at Pier 27."
The accident happened at 06:05 a.m.
There were no injuries and the company said no passengers or crew were in danger.
Ruby Princess eventually docked safely and guests were able to disembark.
There has been no immediate word on what caused the collision.
An assessment of the damage to both the ship and the pier was underway.
Ruby Princess' current cruise is 10 days, round-trip Inside Passage with Glacier Bay National Park. Prices start from USD 849 (double occupancy rates). The itinerary had to start on July 6th, 2023, and end on July 16th, 2023.
