The UK-based Cunard Line announced its highly anticipated Event Voyages 2024.
Cunard's flagship RMS Queen Mary 2 will host 4 out of 7 themed voyages, providing an exceptional Atlantic crossing experience. Queen Elizabeth will offer 3 voyages, navigating Australia and Japan in early 2024.
One of the popular voyages returning in June is "London Theatre at Sea," an 8-night Eastbound Transatlantic Crossing that features musical theatre in partnership with the Olivier Awards. It includes immersive acting workshops, behind-the-scenes talks, and award-winning performances, curated by Julian Bird OBE.
"Literature Festival at Sea" makes a comeback in November 2024. The 7-day westbound Transatlantic Crossing offers literary events curated by The Times and The Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival programming team. Each voyage includes over 20 acclaimed authors, with past headliners such as Ian Rankin, Victoria Hislop, and Simon Armitage.
In August, Queen Mary 2 will embark on her historic 400th Transatlantic Crossing from New York to Southampton, marking a significant milestone in Cunard's history, which began in 1840.
2024 also celebrates the 15th anniversary of Cunard's renowned National Symphony Orchestra voyages. Led by maestro Anthony Inglis, these unique 9-night Eastbound Transatlantic crossings in October offer guests the opportunity to rehearse with the choir during the day and enjoy classical concerts in the Royal Court Theatre at night, with stops in Newport and Boston.
Queen Elizabeth will host the first-of-its-kind Sporting Greats & Wellness Voyage in January 2024. This voyage allows sports fans to sail with legendary Australian athletes such as cricketer Brett Lee, golfer Karrie Webb, and Amanda McLaren, owner of the British luxury car company named after her family.
Another exciting voyage on Queen Elizabeth in January is the Great Australian Culinary Voyage, which explores the world of food and wine. The voyage includes special guest appearances by award-winning chef Karen Martini, who will take over The Steakhouse at The Verandah.
The extraordinary Big Band Ball voyage in May offers dance and music enthusiasts a chance to celebrate the Swing era while exploring the captivating ports of Japan during a nine-night circumnavigation. The voyage features internationally acclaimed vocalist, pianist, and songwriter Joe Stilgoe as a special guest.
