RSSC-Regent Seven Seas Cruises made an announcement that Sarah Faberge, a founding member of The Faberge Heritage Council and the great-granddaughter of Peter Carl Faberge, will be the Godmother for Seven Seas Grandeur.
The christening of the ship will take place at a grand event in Miami, Florida on December 10th, 2023. The ceremony will also feature entertainment from Kristin Chenoweth, an Emmy and Tony award-winning actress and singer. Following the christening, Seven Seas Grandeur will embark on a 3-night Caribbean cruise.
Sarah Faberge, in addition to being the great-granddaughter of the renowned artist-jeweler Peter Carl Faberge, serves as the director of special projects for the Faberge Heritage Council. She expressed her enthusiasm about being the Godmother of Seven Seas Grandeur.
This appointment as Godmother is a result of the partnership between Regent and Faberge. As part of this collaboration, RSSC has commissioned a hand-crafted objet d’art named "Journey in Jewels," which is a Faberge egg. Notably, this egg will be the first-ever permanent resident of its kind on the open seas, adding to the ship's impressive multi-million-dollar art collection.
Additionally, Sarah Faberge will host a special Faberge Spotlight Voyage on board Seven Seas Grandeur, commencing on July 1st, 2024. This voyage will immerse luxury travelers in the world of Faberge through small group master-class programs, exclusive shore-side tours, jeweled egg demonstrations, and captivating lectures and screenings.
The 10-night Faberge Spotlight sailing will start in Civitavecchia-Rome, cruise through the Mediterranean, and make stops at various captivating destinations before concluding at Monte Carlo Monaco.
