HAL-Holland America Line has now opened reservations for its 2025 Alaska season. With a remarkable 75 years of experience sailing in the region, Holland America offers one of the most comprehensive Alaskan programs.
From April to October 2025, the cruise line will operate Alaska cruises on 6 of its ships: Eurodam, Koningsdam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Noordam, Westerdam, and Zaandam. These cruises will have departures from both Seattle WA and Vancouver BC, with roundtrip options or voyages between Vancouver and Whittier.
For the 2025 Alaska season, HAL will have the most Glacier Bay permits in the industry, giving guests exceptional opportunities for glacier and wildlife viewing. More than 180 shore excursions will be offered, providing guests with wildlife encounters and opportunities to explore the Alaskan wilderness.
Here are some of the itineraries that HAL will offer in the upcoming Alaskan season:
- A 28-day "Alaska Arctic Circle Solstice" cruise aboard Westerdam, departing on June 8th, 2025. This voyage will take guests from Seattle to the Bering Sea and into the Arctic Circle. The itinerary includes port visits to Anchorage (overnight), Dutch Harbor, Haines, Homer, Juneau, Ketchikan, Kodiak, Nome, Seward, Sitka, Valdez, Wrangell, and Prince Rupert. Guests will have scenic cruising opportunities in places like Glacier Bay, Inside Passage, Tracy Arm, College Fjord, Little Diomede Island, Prince William Sound, and Hubbard Glacier.
- A 14-day "Great Alaskan Explorer" roundtrip cruise from Vancouver will be offered on two ships with eight Alaska port stops. Nieuw Amsterdam will depart on May 4th, 2025, visiting Anchorage, Homer, Juneau, Ketchikan, Kodiak, Skagway, Valdez, and Wrangell, with a visit to Endicott Arm/Dawes Glacier. Noordam will depart on September 14, 2025, visiting Anchorage, Homer, Ketchikan, Kodiak, Prince Rupert, Skagway, Sitka, Valdez, and Glacier Bay.
- 7-day "Northbound Glacier Discovery" and "Southbound Glacier Discovery" itineraries will cruise between Whittier and Vancouver aboard Nieuw Amsterdam and Noordam, with port visits to Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway.
- 7-day "Alaska Inside Passage" cruises will sail roundtrip from Vancouver on Koningsdam, Nieuw Amsterdam, and Zaandam, visiting ports such as Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway.
- 7-day "Alaskan Explorer" cruises will sail roundtrip from Seattle aboard Eurodam and Westerdam, with port visits including Victoria, Ketchikan, Juneau, and Sitka. Eurodam's itinerary will also include visits to Alaska's Icy Strait Point and Glacier Bay, while Westerdam will explore Dawes Glacier.
