Construction has commenced to incorporate the features that will align Carnival Jubilee with the renowned "Fun Ship" fleet. To mark the beginning of this phase, the ship now proudly bears the iconic winged funnel emblematic of the CCL-Carnival Cruise Line brand.
On Tuesday, July 25th, cranes carefully lowered the top of the funnel onto Carnival Jubilee while she was stationed at the outfitting pier in Meyer Werft, Papenburg, Germany. This crowning moment occurred shortly after the ship was floated out from the covered dry dock and successfully underwent testing on her bow thrusters and stabilizers.
Christine Duffy, the president of Carnival Cruise Line, expressed her delight at seeing Carnival Jubilee adorned with the Carnival funnel, a symbol synonymous with a ship designed for enjoyment. This milestone builds on the excitement that followed the ship's float-out, where she also revealed another important emblem - the Texas star on her bow, representing her Texan pride.
Continuing the construction, the shipbuilding crews are now outfitting Carnival Jubilee with groundbreaking features already enjoyed by guests on the Excel-class sisterships, Mardi Gras, and Carnival Celebration. This includes the thrilling BOLT: The Ultimate Seacoaster, which will encircle the new funnel of Carnival Jubilee. Inside, guests can expect popular dining options, such as the third Emeril's restaurant at sea - Emeril's Bistro 717, along with new, fun, unique, and immersive ocean-themed experiences in two fresh zones: Currents and The Shores.
Carnival Jubilee is scheduled to commence her cruises from Galveston, Texas, on December 23rd, 2023, offering year-round Western Caribbean itineraries, with stops in Cozumel and Costa Maya, Mexico, as well as Mahogany Bay (Roatan).
