Princess Cruises, a leading premium cruise line globally, is implementing several updates to its casual dining options on cruise ships.
Effective for cruises departing on or after August 12th, 2023, the company is introducing prix fixe dining at various casual eateries, including Vines, Salty Dog Pub, O’Malleys, Ocean Terrace, Planks, Steamers, Alfredo’s, and GiGi’s. These restaurants will now offer new three-course, pre-fixed menus. Standard Princess cruise fare passengers will be charged $15 for the prix fixe dining, while individual menu selections will continue to be available at a la carte pricing.
Guests with Princess Premier will have the advantage of dining at these casual locations without any additional cost, and they can enjoy the experience as many times as they like throughout the cruise. For guests with Princess Plus, they will receive two prix fixe meals at any of the casual dining locations per cruise.
All guests, regardless of the package they choose, will still have access to complimentary multi-course meals in main dining rooms, buffet-style options at World Fresh Market and Horizons Court, treats at the International Cafe, poolside offerings at Slice, Coffee & Cones, and more. The classic door hanger menus will also continue to provide traditional stateroom breakfast options.
Another change introduced by Princess is a $15 per cruise charge for guests who opt for on-demand location-based delivery with OceanNow. However, this fee will be waived for those who purchase the Princess Plus and Princess Premier packages. These packages will also remove the standard $5 per delivery room service charge.
Despite these updates, pricing for the Princess Plus and Princess Premier packages will remain unchanged, providing excellent value with 70% or more savings compared to purchasing individual items a la carte. These packages include various perks, such as WiFi, drink packages, daily gratuities, and more.
