Captain Cook Cruises Fiji/fleet, a specialist in small-ship voyages, has teamed up with CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association) to strengthen its presence in the Australian and New Zealand markets.
This partnership brings the Fijian operator into CLIA's extensive Australasian cruise community, comprising cruise lines from around the globe, as well as travel agent members from Australia and New Zealand.
As a Regional Cruise Line Member of CLIA Australasia, Captain Cook Cruises will participate in CLIA's comprehensive travel agent training and events program, including the upcoming Cruise360 Australasia conference and trade show in September.
Joel Katz (CLIA Australasia's Managing Director) emphasized the growing significance of small-ship cruising in the global industry and welcomed Captain Cook Cruises Fiji as a pioneer in the field. He highlighted that small-ship expedition cruising represents a dynamic and exciting segment of the cruise industry, making the collaboration with Captain Cook Cruises timely, considering the ongoing innovation in this sector.
Allison Haworth West (Captain Cook Cruises' CEO) expressed her enthusiasm for joining CLIA Australasia, especially as the company prepares for the introduction of its new luxury expedition ship, MS Caledonian Sky, in November. She saw this partnership as a valuable opportunity to engage and support travel agent partners, offering them a new level of luxury small-ship expedition cruising in Fiji.
With the arrival of MS Caledonian Sky in November 2023, Captain Cook plans to offer a heightened range of small-ship luxury expedition cruises, showcasing the authentic essence of remote Fiji. Their itineraries will explore some of the most breathtaking islands in the South Pacific, including the previously unexplored Lau Islands, the company's private island Tivua, the volcanic Yasawa Islands, and Fiji's remote Northern Islands. This new venture aims to open up and share many previously unexplored destinations in the region, promising a memorable and extraordinary experience for travelers.
