The Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) UK & Ireland has revealed that its RiverView Conference for 2024 is scheduled for March 11th to 13th and to be held in Amsterdam (Netherlands).
This 12th iteration of the event will showcase the most recent developments in river cruise ships, provide valuable information, and offer sales advice. The conference is open to all CLIA member agents and will encompass various opportunities such as visits to multiple ships, informative talks from key speakers, and participation in a networking trade fair.
The inaugural RiverView event took place in Amsterdam back in 2011.
In Amsterdam, a total of 9 cruise lines will have their ships docked and available for agents to explore over the course of two days. Delegates will have the chance to spend two nights on one of these ships, which will include hosted dinners.
The conference will cover a range of global river cruise topics, including discussions on sustainability, innovation, new travel routes, and strategies for attracting first-time customers. Additionally, a session dedicated to introducing agents to the art of selling river cruises will be held remotely just before the main program. Agents attending the conference will have the option to pre-register for this session.
Andy Harmer, managing director CLIA UK & Ireland, said the popularity of river cruises was booming, and RiverView would again help agents capitalize on that demand.
"Last year’s conference was our biggest ever, and we’ll go one better in 2024 by having even more delegates and ships on hand. This is the ideal event for the trade to hone their first-hand knowledge and expertise, which, in turn, they can pass on to their customers and colleagues.”

Registration is expected to open later this month.
