Crystal Cruises' second ship is soon to resume operations after the recent return of Crystal Serenity.
Crystal Symphony has successfully concluded her sea trials in preparation for the maiden voyage departing from Piraeus-Athens Greece on September 1st.
Currently undergoing the final phases of an extensive refurbishment at the Fincantieri's shipyard in Trieste Italy, the vessel was manned by a full complement of officers, technicians, and engineers who conducted rigorous testing of the ship's navigation, technical, and mechanical systems, all of which passed inspections. Furthermore, thorough checks were carried out to ensure the correct certification and absence of defects in the fire-resistant panels.
Roberto Fazi, Senior Vice President of Marine Operations, expressed his excitement, stating that after the launch of Crystal Serenity on July 31st, they were delighted that the sea trials of Crystal Symphony had been successfully completed, bringing them closer to her return to service in just a few weeks.
Upon her first voyage with guests, Crystal Symphony will reveal revamped and more spacious suites adorned with artisanal touches. The specialty dining venues have been rejuvenated, including the new Osteria d'Ovidio, paying homage to Crystal's Executive Chairman Manfredi Lefebvre d'Ovidio and his family's heritage from Northern Italy. Passengers will also experience cutting-edge wellness facilities, notably the revamped and renamed Aurōra Spa, along with the addition of a pickleball court and revitalized entertainment and events. Notably, the exceptional service and industry-leading staff-to-guest ratios remain unchanged.
Following her inaugural sailing from Athens, Crystal Symphony will spend the summer in Europe, before crossing to Africa in October and subsequently to Asia and Australia.
